Isla California was founded in 1998 by guitarist /composer Gregory Coleman. A fifth-generation musician (his father was a founding member of the Tijuana Brass) born and raised in Los Angeles, Coleman’s love for music and his native California merge in this recording. He teaches classical guitar at Saddleback College and History of Music in America at Orange Coast College, both in Orange County, California. His guitar methods and collections of popular music arranged for classical guitar are published by Warner Brother Publications, available through Guitar Solo in San Francisco.
